See “Wild Bill” Wellman’s Plagiarized, 1937 Re-Make of George Cukor’s 1932 Masterpiece, What Price Hollywood?, for Free and Without Commercial Interruption

Re-posted by Nicholas Stix

Prior to 2018, each of the re-makes was lopsided. The 1937 version, starring Fredric March and Janet Gaynor, vastly favored March over Gaynor, while the 1954 and 1976 re-makes each favored the female lead (Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand, respectively). I can’t speak to the 2018 version, co-starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, as though I own the DVD (which arrived about a month ago), I have yet to view it, and am frankly in no hurry to do so.

It was amazing for me to admit it,but Gaga is actually a tremendously talented singer/performer.Her duets with Tony Bennett are spectacular. One of the few current entertainers that could be a star at any time of the past 90 years.
