Per AmRen's regular analysis of annual FBI/UCR crime data, non-whites commit virtually all (97%) shootings in NYC:

The Color of Crime

If New York City were all white, the murder rate would drop by 91 percent, the robbery rate by 81 percent, and the shootings rate by 97 percent.

So when speaking about NYC, 'another shooting' and 'another shooting by non-whites' are pretty much synonymous -- the latter could be regarded as redundant.
