Really, nbc? After trying to panic everyone today about mass White supremacy protests (WRONG, as usual), now we have the famous “inside job” for a coup on Wednesday.

This was actually concocted by AP(who else could it be,besides nbc).A long article it is with more accusations about Trump being "incendiary" and other subjective voodoo chanting.You can Google it if you'd like to read more AP fiction.
One thing:they splash the headline and report on the narrative of a coup by National Guardsmen,but buried far down,they quickly debunk their own story with,"so far there's no indication--from any of the vetting--that any Guardsmen are involved in a coup plot".
Print it anyways.

nbc quoted ap is what happened.nbc used to quote the wapo on all things Trump with the quickly spoken disclaimer:NBC is unable to verify the wapo claims independently---but we'll pass the fiction on anyways.

I remember one story about Trump's cabinet,"worried about the President's mental capacity" and "the 25th amendment is being discussed"--that was about 2 years ago,the first time the subject was brought up.
As I recall the 25th amendment was never invoked.
Passing the buck on the truth of a story is nbc's method the last few years,rendering their reporting meaningless.They might as well quote the Globe or national lampoon.

WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. defense officials say they are worried about an insider attack or other threat from service members involved in securing President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration, prompting the FBI to vet all of the 25,000 National Guard troops coming into Washington for the event.
The massive undertaking reflects the extraordinary security concerns that have gripped Washington following the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol by pro-Trump rioters. And it underscores fears that some of the very people assigned to protect the city over the next several days could present a threat to the incoming president and other VIPs in attendance.
Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy told The Associated Press on Sunday that officials are conscious of the potential threat, and he warned commanders to be on the lookout for any problems within their ranks as the inauguration approaches. So far, however, he and other leaders say they have seen no evidence of any threats, and officials said the vetting hadn’t flagged any issues that they were aware of.
GRA:In otherwords,AP invented a conspiracy theory and asked McCarthy about it--who then gave the standard reply.He would have said the same thing if asked about "aliens from Alpha Centauri coming to disrupt the inauguration" or "GOP vampires with large fangs being seen in the city"---"We're on the lookout,but we've seen no evidence of that."

Imagine waking up Wednesday morning to news that National Guard troops were attacking and eliminating traitors to American--in the Capitol, in the FBI, in the CIA--everywhere. Traitors gone, freedom safe and secure, it is truly morning in America. And then you really wake up--it was all a sweet dream. The nightmare of corrupt , Marxist criminals in control of America--perhaps for the rest of your life is the actual reality. Your country had fallen, you are living in an occupied country. Freedom is winking out, government-regulated poverty is on the way, and China will dominate the world--including the USA. The nightmare is real.

As Jordan Schachtel concludes, the FBI seems to be grossly exaggerating the capabilities of a fringe network of activists that does not have the capacity to mobilize significant numbers of people. Certainly, they do not present a threat of “insurrection,” or anything close. In leaking these bulletins to the media, it appears that the Bureau is once again, after four years of “Trump-Russia” madness, engaged in unsavory activism and attempts to manufacture a political narrative.
However, given this embarrassing propaganda-rife exaggeration of threats, and the FBI 'lies' and these local prosecutors' 'lies', the chances of a 'false-flag' event are rising rapidly as one might just get the impression that fear is being ratcheted up for political gain and to enable Patriot Act II's crackdown on "domestic terrorism" to more easily slide between the cheeks of an anxious American public desperate to be saved from this terror - to hell with liberty, just do something!
