By definition all Guatemalan villages are intensely poor. That girl was murdered by her parents. Taking action illegal they should not have that resulted in the death of another person [the daughter]. What sort of father would allow his daughter to not eat or drink for days while he committed a crime? A bad one!! Third degree murder with three times the amount of punishment. For the mother and father both.
