"(mynewsla) a 17-year-old girl was among three people believed to be family members who were killed thursday in an apparent shooting inside a lakewood home.
"deputies and los angeles county fire department personnel responded about 7:55 a.m. thursday to the 5800 block of Lorelei avenue, near south street.
"when deputies arrived, they were met outside the home by a woman who was taken into custody for questioning, while inside they found three dead people — the teen girl and a man and a woman, all thought to be from the same family, los angeles county sheriff’s homicide detective Daniel Vizcarra told reporters at the scene.

MAN WHO ENTERS CHICAGO HOME SUNDAY MORNING AND KILLS THE RESIDENT,IS CONSIDERED A "SUSPECT" BY CPD
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A suspect entered a West Side home and fatally shot a man on Sunday morning, Chicago police said.
Police said the shooting happened in the East Garfield Park neighborhood's 3100-block of West Warren Boulevard just after 10:15 a.m.
A suspect entered the building and opened fire, striking a 37-year-old man, police said.
(GRA:Was he a suspect BEFORE the shooting/murder? That's how it's written--and would be prescient,to say the least,if true--but then to allow the murder to happen...well "dereliction of duty" comes to mind.)
The victim, who suffered three gunshot wounds to the body, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No other injuries were reported.
No one is in custody, and Area Three detectives are investigating.
Police did not immediately provide further information.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman was found shot to death in a South Side alley early Sunday morning, Chicago police said.
Police said the woman, 36, was found in the Woodlawn neighborhood's 6400-block of South Drexel Avenue around 4:30 a.m.
The victim, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body, was pronounced dead on the scene, police said. Her name was not immediately released.
What led up to the shooting was not immediately clear.
No one is in custody, and Area One detectives are investigating.
