Joliet police, overseeing a 52% White, 18% bLACK, 13% mEX demographic, have to investigate a double murder of one woman and one four-year-old boy; cops say no further threat as poi [sic] is in custody

"(nbc5) Joliet police are investigating a double-homicide that left an adult and a child dead over the weekend.

"according to Joliet police, officers are still on scene sunday in the 700 block of Garsney avenue as they investigate that homicide.

"police say an adult and a young child were discovered dead at the scene, but did not provide further details on the incident.

"a person-of-interest in the case is in custody, and police say there is no ongoing threat to the public at this time."
