Will Trump make it alive to the election? I’m starting to wonder. At some point the stars will align for some shooter, and he will succeed. Trump has to be realistic; I know he wants to live his life, be courageous and not back down or whatever, but he can’t count on a shooter’s bad aim or questionable security to keep him alive. Kennedy had that attitude and it cost him his life.

If Trump supporters think their man will get a huge sympathy vote, my instinct is he will not. It's possible swing voters will decide they are tired of Trump and prefer him to go away.
This is the third straight presidential contest with Trump as one of the nominees. And Trump led the GOP to subpar results in the last three election cycles, 2018, 2020, and 2022.
It's all emotion now--pro-Trump loyalty vs anti-Trump hate.Plus immigration.Plus a huge outpouring of black votes for harris.
