As we expected, and is now standard in this type of murder trial, the defendant claimed it was "consensual sex." Williams claimed, "she said she was 16."
N.S.: And did he claim that his breaking her jaw, fracturing her skull, and murdering her was also "consensual"?
As GRA has noted, the only way this sort of Bizarro Universe rationalization could even logically work would be if the killer asserted that he stepped out to smoke a cigarette after the sex, and while he did that, a White devil came along, murdered the vic, and disappeared.
I apologize to my old friend and partner in crime, David, for posting this update out of order. Several years ago, observing that by going in chronological order, I was perpetually posting news late, I decided to start at the top of my inbox. However, the debit of that practice is that I miss items until after the witching hour. And so, I posted David's update last night that the jury had convicted Williams. That's the good news.
The bad news is that justice will not be served for Wendy Jerome. Justice was de facto abolished in the state of new york app. 60 years ago. It was then abolished by the state legislature. During the mid-1990s, republican governor George Pataki signed a death penalty bill into law, but liberal judge Judith Kaye, chief rogue black robe on the new york state court of appeals, lied, ruling that it violated the state constitution.

You will remember the most recent trial we covered that had the defendant claim "consensual sex" was the Tracie Hawlett-JB Beasley trial. The defendant/killer Coley McCraney was found guilty last year in Alabama.
And lest we forget the "ringleader" of the Knoxville Horror tried the same tactic.
