“Jokes furnished by Milton Berle.” Was Uncle Miltie writing jokes for other people in his mid-eighties?! Amazing.
My favorite version of the opening theme was for Season Two, which had the “itty bitty trombone player” (Adam Wylie), as the late, great Della Reese dubbed him in a two-parter ending Season One, playing the trombone and about one long second of the horn in it. But oh, what a difference a second makes!
I used to have a copy of that version, but alas, the external drive it was on fried, and it’s no longer online.
