Police Looking for black Who Stabbed Three, Sexually Assaulted and Killed a Child in Michigan, Sunday Morning

UNION TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Troopers are investigating an alleged sexual assault and homicide near Mt. Pleasant, they said.

MSP is asking for help in finding Isaiah “Zeke” Gary Gardenhire, 40. Gardenhire is described as 6-foot-1 and weighing about 180 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

The Michigan State Police said the homicide happened Sunday around 3:15 a.m. at a home on South Isabella Road in Union Township.

The Morning Sun out of Mt. Pleasant reports that Gardenhire is accused of stabbing three people and killing one of them— a child. The child who died is also believed to have been the victim of a sexual assault before the stabbing, the newspaper says.

There is not an immediate threat to the public, troopers say. GRA: I don’t know how they can assume that. --GRA
