N.S.: H. Rap Brown said, "Violence is as American as cherry pie." (I could have sworn that Denzel Washingotn said the same thing as Malcolm X in X [1992]). If we were to take Brown literally, it would mean that violence is not very popular among "Americans" (i.e., White Americans). But that's not what he meant. In other words, H. Rap Brown was just another a violent, racist imbecile.
