Does he still think he's going to run again in 2024, and seeks to win via the black vote? Is he obituary shopping for hagiographies from black supremacist "historians" like Ibram X. Kendi?

I don't understand the Kilpatrick release.Being from Michigan,I'm familiar with his case and all I can compare this to is the former Illinois governor Blagojevich, whose sentence was commuted in 2020.These types of actions are rarely based on facts of the case, but some other nebulous reasons.
Kilpatrick abused his office and the public trust, but politicians see other politicians in prison and think,"there for the grace of God,go I"--and Trump may be thinking of himself and setting an example of when he might need a pardon in New York state.
Just a theory.
