N.S.: USA Today operative Ryan W. Miller is a liar, and this is fake news.
First, a cop never has any way of knowing whether a suspect is armed. Second, the cop knew perp Antwon Rose II was a suspect in a drive-by attempted murder shooting from minutes earlier. Third, Rose was armed, but he had left his gun in the crime car.
"The mother of an unarmed black teen who was fatally shot by a white police officer said the cop's acquittal Friday 'isn't what I hoped for, but it's what I expected.'"
The black "mother" thought her young felon had a license to kill, and that the white policeman who pulled him over had a duty to die.

Unarmed except for the gun left in the car. That gun has been positively linked to the drive-by?
Please! The guns were found in the car and the back window had been shot out [presumably in the drive-by]. So the cops were confident these were bad guys, fleeing felons. The Supreme Court standard is the cops can shoot a fleeing felon if the judgment of the police at the scene the fleeing felon represents a further danger to society. A good shoot and found to be so.
Congrats to the policeman.
