"chicago (wls) -- a suspect entered a west side home and fatally shot a man on sunday morning, chicago police said.

"police said the shooting happened in the east Garfield park neighborhood's 3100-block of west Warren boulevard just after 10:15 a.m.

"a suspect entered the building and opened fire, striking a 37-year-old man, police said.

[GRA: Was he a suspect BEFORE the shooting/murder? That's how it's written--and would be prescient, to say the least, if true--but then to allow the murder to happen...well "dereliction of duty" comes to mind.]

"the victim, who suffered three gunshot wounds to the body, was taken to Stroger hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

"no other injuries [sic] were reported.

"no one is in custody, and area three detectives are investigating.

"police did not immediately provide further information."
