2,000 FEDERAL AGENTS HITTING MINNEAPOLIS-ST.PAUL AREA TO REMOVE ILLEGALS
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Department of Homeland Security said Tuesday that it launched what it described as the largest immigration enforcement operation ever carried out by the agency — with 2,000 federal agents and officers expected in the Minneapolis area for a crackdown tied in part to allegations of fraud involving Somali residents.
“The largest DHS operation ever is happening right now in Minnesota,” the department said in a post on X, dramatically expanding the federal law enforcement footprint in the state amid heightened political and community tensions.
The government planned to send about 2,000 Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and officers to Minnesota, according to a U.S. official and a person briefed on the matter. The agents are expected to be dispatched in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, the person said. The people were not authorized to publicly discuss operational details and spoke with The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity.
Immigrant rights groups and elected officials in the Twin Cities reported a sharp increase Tuesday in sightings of federal agents, notably around St. Paul. Numerous agents’ vehicles were reported making traffic stops, outside area businesses and apartment buildings.

ICE STOPS DRIVER OF SUV,ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE OFF,BY BLASTING HER TO THE MORGUE;MAYOR FREY TELLS ICE TO GET THE **** OUT AND CALLS THEIR VERSION OF THE INCIDENT:"BULLS**T."
GRA:Chief Brian O'Hara said,"what appears to be a middle aged,White woman--and who was not the target of ICE agents"--was shot dead in her SUV this morning,as she attempted to drive away.
DHS released a statement that "rioters were on a street,where ICE was conducting business and the driver of a red SUV,attempted to use her vehicle to ram an ICE agent. This was domestic terrorism. The agent,who was at the front of the vehicle opened fire,killing the driver."
I saw the video and there appeared to be less than the number of people to qualify for a "riot." The video was at such an angle that you could not tell if the ICE agent was in the path of the SUV. He did not dive out of the way and as the vehicle tears off,the ICE agent is seen standing in the street. The SUV then goes a distance,crashing into a parked car.
Mayor,Jacob Frey conducted an obscene press conference,dropping the "f" bomb and said "calling the incident 'domestic terrorism' was "bulls**t."
Do ICE agents have video?
In my opinion,based on the video,and reports of no weapon in the SUV,the justification for the shooting looks iffy,at best. If other info comes out,my view would change,of course.
Late info: Apparently,the woman was trying to block traffic(and ICE)and ICE wanted her to exit the SUV. Instead,she backed up and lurched forward,after which shots rang out.
Because of the lack of being able to see where the ICE agent was,he could claim self defense and probably win,based on fear of being run down.

This just in:The shot fired,went through the windshield and not the side window. If true,case closed--ICE agent is cleared.
nbc also says,"all ICE agents are required to wear cameras."
More video forthcoming,in other words.

UPDATE: ANOTHER video shows the ICE agent IN Front of the SUV and in the possible path of the vehicle. The SUV was swinging right,but the shots could have caused that.
I can see why the agent fired shots in self defense.
Tom Llamas of nbc claimed,at one point, that "the video does not appear to match the narrative of DHS."
I disagree with Llamas,now,after the second,close-up video.
Later,Llamas hedged on that view,ASKING,if the agent might have been in front of the SUV.
