"manhattan, n.y. (pix11) — police are searching for a suspect after a woman was stabbed in the head on board a subway train in manhattan on tuesday afternoon.

"the incident happened on a southbound no. 4 train around 1:50 p.m.

"police say the train was near lexington avenue and east 59th street at the time of the incident.

"the victim, a 57-year-old woman, was involved in a verbal dispute [Ha! The hell, she was] with an unidentified individual, according to the nycpd.

"ems transported the victim to a local hospital in stable condition.

"police say that the suspect, who fled the station, is a woman around 25 years old and 5’3”. she was last seen wearing a maroon jacket and gray pants.
