Chicago black thugs don't just shoot other black thugs; postal carrier murdered on her route
(nbc-chicago)A postal worker was shot to death outside a residence in Chicago's West Pullman neighborhood late Friday morning, officials said.
According to authorities, the postal worker, a 48-year-old woman, was outside a residence just before 11:40 a.m. in the 12100 block of South Harvard Avenue when an unknown man approached her and opened fire, striking her multiple times.
The suspect then fled westbound on 121st Street, according to police. There is no one in custody.
The woman was rushed to Christ Hospital in critical condition, where she was later pronounced dead. The woman was identified by her union as Octavia Redmond.
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a $250,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect involved in the killing. The USPIS has a 24/7 hotline that can be reached at 877-876-2455.
The shooting is under investigation by Area Two detectives, police said. There is no further information available.
