The writer of this article is named Kristen Pizzo, probably one of those socially maladjusted females that blames men for all her issues in life, and she claims that "they" has always been a singular pronoun and Miriam Webster is simply affirming it. No Kristen, it was not. Just because a tiny group of zealots used it that way for a while doesn't mean you can rewrite the rules of grammar. I understand that that grammar can evolve over time but that's when it happens organically and naturally, when it's shoehorned in by a tiny number of radical zealots who are forcing their evil immoral beliefs on all of us, it shouldn't allowed.; Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 4:43:00 PM EST
