the scene had less to do with mutating viruses -- the chimp out happened because he was confronted when he was there to meet another man, so he was very publicly exposed or involuntarily outed as a homosexual -- now and then such an incident happens and helps to reveal the uselessness of trying to normalize faggotry -- everyone knows it's disgusting and repugnant, even many of the faggots themselves.
