Ryan has since been arrested, and charged with multiple crimes.

The grandfather “told the post his grandson was a ‘good kid’ who was attending school. He said his daughter called to tell him he had been picked up by police.

“‘I said ‘What the hell’ when she called,” the grandfather said. “It was so sudden it’s unbelievable. I don’t think he did it. They just got him at the precinct trying to scare him. That’s how the police do things. I’m born and raised in the Bronx. I know.”

The suspect is named Jeremiah Ryan; the above-quoted grandfather is named Ricardo Santiago, 70. The boy was allegedly caught by cops throwing a “ghost gun” out of his family’s apartment window.

Because of "criminal justice reform," Jeremiah Ryan is in no danger of facing even watered down justice, because he is under 18, unless, that is, there’s an exemption for "White-enough" defendants. “A 17-year-old Bronx boy has been identified as a ‘person of interest’ in connection with the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Angellyh Yambo.”
