Announcer Gary Cohen just said, “No hitters are special, and tonight was no different.”
Sorry, Gary. Tonight was different. When you throw half your bullpen at the opposing team, it’s just not the same as with a proper no-hitter, which has only one pitcher.

I believe the Oakland A's and White Sox had a similar no hitter,in the 70s.A statistical oddity,not a feat of great pitching by one player.
