"This guy was the absolute best," Putzel told The Associated Press via phone from New York City. "He was just the absolute best war journalist that I know. This is a guy who literally went to every conflict zone."

LOL--kudos for the Chicago joke.

I don't understand the fixation that people--like Renaud--have with capturing war on film.

It's similar to going on stage and performing the same play for 40 years, night after night--imho.

ANOTHER ACADEMY AWARD WINNING WHITE ACTOR DIES--WILLIAM HURT

NEW YORK (AP) — William Hurt, the Oscar-winning actor of “Broadcast News,” “Body Heat” and “The Big Chill,” has died. He was 71.

Hurt’s son, Will, said in a statement that Hurt died Sunday of natural causes. He said Hurt died peacefully, among family. Deadline first reported Hurt’s death.(GRA:Covid vaxx?)

In a long-running career, Hurt was three times nominated for an Academy Award, winning for 1985’s “Kiss of the Spider Woman.” After his screen debut in 1980’s Paddy Chayefsky-scripted “Altered States” as a psychopathologist studying schizophrenia and experimenting with sensory deprivation, Hurt quickly emerged as one of the 1980s foremost leading men.

In Lawrence Kasdan’s 1981 steamy neo noir “Body Heat,” Hurt starred alongside Kathleen Turner. In 1983’s “The Big Chill,” again with Kasdan, Hurt played the Vietnam War veteran Nick Carlton, one of a group of college pals who gather for their friend’s funeral.

“Acting is a very intimate and private thing,” Hurt told The New York Times in 1983. “The art of acting requires as much solitude as the art of writing. Yeah, you bump up against other people, but you have to learn a craft, technique. It’s work. There’s this odd thing that my acting is assumed to be this clamor for attention to my person, as if I needed so much love or so much attention that I would give up my right to be a private person.”

Albert Brooks, his director and co-star in “Broadcast News,” was among those responding to Hurt’s passing. “So sad to hear this news,” wrote Brooks. “Working with him on ‘Broadcast News’ was amazing. He will be greatly missed.”

GRA:Pretty good actor--I'll keep it short and sweet.

"SHAKE MY HEAD" MOMENT OF THE DAY

This topic has been covered a few times here on NSU--stupid black names. To paraphrase Jack Nicholson in, "The Witches of Eastwick":

Do they misspell their names accidentally--or do they do it to us ON PURPOSE?"

A few of them are presented here as examples.

Deron, Rau'shee, Raynell, Deontay, Taraje, Jozy, Kerron, Hyleas, Chaunte, Bershawn, Lashawn, Sanya, Trevell, Sheena, Ogonna, Dremiel.

But the most bizarre bastardization of a name occurred on last night's game show,"The Weakest Link",where a black showed up with the name "Adam"--spelled A-D-A-A-M.

I shook my head, thinking, the mindset of blacks is laughable and pathetic. They won't follow White laws, won't stand for the national anthem and now, cannot or will not spell their names as they were invented decades and centuries ago.

It's both an example of black stupidity and their fervent hatred of White society--which negroes would put an end to with mass genocide of Whites--IF they were allowed to get their way.

It appears that every action they take is to make that goal a reality--even spelling their name A-D-A-A-M.

>Brent Renaud

In June 2020 he wrote a BLM-supporting op-ed published by the Boston Globe:

Black Lives Matter in a haven for white supremacists -- The inside story of a historic protest march in a small town in Arkansas
