The Soros DA in Philadelphia, Larry Krasner, fired all the senior deputy DAs when he took office. Gascon couldn't do that because the prosecutors in the Los Angeles District Attorney's office are civil servants and can't be fired arbitrarily.
The LA Times had a story just after Gascon was elected lamenting how he couldn't rid himself immediately of the veterans in the Office.
That'll be as difficult as getting a non-rent paying nig evicted from his apartment.
