“What Can I Give You, in Return?”: “To Sir, with Love”: An Ode to Miscegenation

By N.S.

[“James Edwards: He Paved the Way for Poitier and Washington.”]

Sidney Poitier was not a “pioneer.” And if White people were so racist, why would they have made Poitier the world's biggest movie star?

Sidney Poitier had some talent, but once he became a star, he decided that he wanted to be a role model, rather than an actor, and squandered his talent. This song is clearly an ode to miscegenation, which I didn't catch at the time. Then again, I was only nine years old.

James Edwards’ daughter told me Poitier used to come to their home, weeping about how hard he had it, with all the pressure of being a “role model.” But it was his choice, his glory, his filthy lucre, and his self-pity. Meanwhile, Jimmy Edwards had to get by, and support his family with bit roles.

Just imagine how long Poitier would have lived, if not for apartheid?

>James Edwards

I don't know him -- but it says this on his Wikipedia page (link):

His most famous role was as Private Peter Moss in the 1949 film Home of the Brave, in which he portrayed an African American soldier experiencing racial prejudice while serving in the South Pacific during World War II.

And here's some info about the film Home of the Brave (link):

Directed by Mark Robson -- Screenplay by Carl Foreman -- Produced by Stanley Kramer

Interesting -- all 3 are Jews -- so after the Americans 'saved civilization' (a take I saw on this blog/by the proprietor of this blog; it's not my take) by helping win WWII, what do these Hollywood Jews do? -- they make a movie about 'racism' in the US military.

If you want to know why the 'JQ' (which I didn't invent) exists, here you have a Paradebeispiel -- like it or not.
