Libertarians at CATO are either complete idiots, traitors, or both. The fact is that over 70% of Chinese immigrants vote for socialist Democrats. Libertarians cannot get their mushy brains around the fact that you can never have a free country if you keep importing people who will vote to take away your freedom. Duh!

Starting with President Truman, who ordered the admission of 80,000 refugees from Soviet-occupied Poland, the Baltic countries, and from areas of Southern Europe where communist insurgencies were active in 1945, and ending with the Lautenberg Amendment of 1990, the U.S. government consistently liberalized refugee and asylum policy for those fleeing communism. They let in millions of refugees and asylum seekers from countries as varied as Hungary, China, Greece, the Soviet Union, and Cuba – the birthplace of Senator Cruz’s father.

Welcoming immigrants from communist countries produced important economic, political, moral, and propaganda victories during the Cold War that showcased the superiority of individual liberty and capitalism over communism. But modern policy makers are ignoring those victories today.


First off, the migrants from countries like Hungary, Greece and even the Soviet Union were White. Migrants from China are Asian. When you are a distinctly different race, the likelihood of maintaining loyalties with the old country are much greater. We see this all the time with the way the media whips up anti Americanism in citizens who are other races. Many now "hate" the country that has given them so much more than they ever got from their old country. How easy will it be for people that, feel hatred and no loyalty to their adopted country, to commit espionage?

But people that write these kind of articles won't bring up the subject of race, it's not something that exists for them, except when it comes to demonizing Whites, then it does matter. Of course most of the people that write this kind of garbage are White themselves, self hating ones that is.

Also, small "White" European countries are not in direct economic competition with the US and they don't have intelligence agencies with the size, reach and sophistication as a large country like China so comparing Hungarian refugees to Chinese one is absurd.

The article also states this:

From 1990 to 2019, there were 1,485 people convicted of espionage or espionage-related crimes spying on U.S. soil. Of those, 184 were from China.

OK, "only" 184 Chinese espionage agents were caught but that doesn't mean there aren't many more committing espionage. How sophisticated are Chinese intelligence agencies? My guess is at least as sophisticated as the ones in Russia and they've been at the game for a long time and can be very difficult to identify and catch.

All that being said, I'm not sure if some spies among immigrants is as much a problem as Chinese companies and citizens being allowed to purchase any property or businesses in the US. As I've hollered about since forever, China does not allow US companies or citizens (or any foreigners) to buy and own land in their country, so why do we let them do it?

The authors of this article, Alex Nowrasteh and John Glaser, are operatives for the globalists and the mass migration agenda, that's one things we know for sure.
