David in TN: Daniel Greenfield writes how legalizing shoplifting drives drugstores out of business.

Note in the comments the one calling himself "THX1138" in his second comment, waxing how "most people are moral" and "only a small minority are thieves." Well, in some segments of the population being "moral" is an unknown concept, and they enjoy stealing.

I signed up for Amazon's pharmacy a few months ago. The folks over there even called me, and asked if I had any prescriptions that needed to be filled. Even have a brick and mortar location here locally.

But California, being California, probably has a thicket of Mickey Mouse laws precluding Amazon from owning much less operating a pharmacy in the state. - ATR

Correct. More than anything else it is pleasure-able for the minority to steal. Not the items stole are of much use to them and value on the street rather low. Just the enjoyment of putting one over on the "man" is the reason for the theft. Same as during the looting during the various riots. Fun!
