N.S.: Thanks. My sound is out. What "democracy," & what "blueprint"?
I don't know why he said "democracy," or "native Americans."

Is that the title of this--"White People Bad?(Including Ken Burns).
Burns must "off himself" or he's a hypocrite, spewing his hatred of Whites.

Those telling us how wonderful Indians (feather variety) were, conveniently overlook the seriously sick culture where they took great pleasure in gruesome tortures of prisoners. The prisoners could take days to die. These tortures were frequently performed by the women and children. I recently read about how Apache children would capture and torture little animals to the amusement and encouragement of their elders. Long before Whites came these people were constantly waring and killing each other. Women and children were not spared unless the tribe was in need of replacements for those killed in the constant warfare. Women were commonly gang raped before being murdered and captive women endured the same.
Readers should consult "The Invented Indian: Cultural Fictions and Government Policies" (1990) edited by James A. Clifton, a collection of scholarly essays that debunk the myth of the noble Indian and give a truer picture of Indian life. It is, in the words of one critic, "a reliable and worthwhile counter-narrative to current dogma."
