Turns out the national guardsmen who were killed/wounded were unarmed! Supposedly, they're not allowed to bear arms because the dems might get MAD... So naturally the "President" capitulates. Also, there was a list of repubs who supported bringing in afghan refugees under Biden, and T's best buddy, Lindsey Graham, was one of them.
Oh well, Happy Thanksgiving everybody.

(BBC)One of the two members of the National Guard who were shot in Washington DC on Wednesday has died, US President Donald Trump said.
Sarah Beckstrom, 20, succumbed to her injuries, while the second National Guard member, 24-year-old Andrew Wolfe, "is fighting for his life", Trump said on Thursday evening.
Both were shot at close range near Farragut Square in downtown DC just after 14:00 EST (19:00 GMT) on Wednesday. Police have arrested one suspect in the shooting, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, a 29-year-old from Afghanistan.

The story was from ZH and I'm not inclined to go back and look it up. Pretty sure it said the troops were unarmed and meant to "intimidate" just by standing around. Maybe it was the local cops who killed the bad guy. Remember Kent State?

Checked to make sure- OK, the initial story was wrong- they were "armed with pistols." Which isn't much- no rifles?- but they WERE armed.
