That's the definition of "asking for it."

And he got it.

When I was a boy, walking on railroad tracks was pretty safe--trains were slow and everyone did it. But a few years ago, my wife and I walked on a track and suddenly heard a train horn. We jumped off the track and an almost silent train flashed by. Trains are much faster and quieter--I''ll never walk on train tracks again. I've read about teens getting killed walking on tracks with ear buds blasting music--no way they could hear the train coming. A woman was running in Alaska with music playing in her ears--she didn't hear the wolves coming up behind her and they got her. If she had heard them, stopped running and turned around they might have changed their minds--animals running are prey. Even on the street, best to keep your ears ready to hear what is happening.
