In the late 70s TV said football was like ballet, and had the Steelers player Lynn Swann (sp?) or someone like that appear on a prime time program suited up and doing his running back moves on a stage to classical music. It was insulting and degrading both to football and to ballet.

FIELDS UNDERSHOOTS LAST WEEKS MISERABLE PASSING STATS(4 OF 7,23 YARDS--IN ONE HALF!)AS NEW YORK FIGHTS BACK FROM A 7-0 LEAD,TO TRAIL 14-7 AFTER 30 MINUTES OF "ACTION"

GRA:New England has a 14-7 lead over the New York Clits. Aaron Glenn looking for that "g spot" to cause a
quiver of response from the team. Joe Namath warming up for a second half appearance. HE'LL find it,if anyone can.

(fantasy football)WHY ISN'T JOE WILLIE NAMATH STARTING? ANOTHER STIRRING COMEBACK FOR THE 82 YEAR OLD,WHEELCHAIR BOUND LEGEND,AS THE JETS EDGE NEW ENGLAND 28-27.

GRA:A gutsy two point call, that was perfectly executed by relief quarterback Joe Namath--with two seconds left in the game--led the visiting New York Jets to a heartstopping win over the New England Patriots by a 28-27 margin.

Justin Fields broke the 100 yard barrier in passing yards, but Namath had that in the fourth quarter alone, directing two touchdown drives and the victory.
Joe finished 13 for 16 for 150 yards.

After bringing the Jets to within one point,at 27-26,Namath audibled at the line of scrimmage for the all or nothing two point conversion, rolling out to his right(thanks to Josh Reynolds pushing Namath's wheelchair)and finding Breece Hall between two defenders and the upset win.

"This is way too much fun,"said the legend

In real life, the Jets lost by 13 points,27-14,in another lousy effort by a lousy team.
