Sure enough, I turned abc on just now, and they have a news show reporting three cops were killed in Pennsylvania with two injured. Looks like Elizabeth Vargas hosting. This mass shooting happened 115 miles east of nigadelphia. The gunman was killed."

The Boss mentioned this shooting to me several hours ago. She was reading the news on her (formerly my--she "requisitioned" it) cellphone. She complained that the "story" contained virtually no information--just a shooting involving a cop in Pa. She observed that if the media knew as much as they said, that they also knew a heck of a lot more.
I guess her replacement of Jimmy Kimmel is why Liz Vargas is showing up on google, all of a sudden. She used to be one of the most stunning creatures on tv. Brain-dead, of course, but if you want to see brains on tv, you tune in to Brady Bunch re-runs. Vargas must have had a lot of work done, since she looks about 20 years younger than her 63. google/pretend encyclopedia claims that she's 5'6." She always appeared to be much taller. Then again, maybe she is. As pretend co-founder Jimmy Wales always says, it is not a reliable source, even if google frequently cites it as one.
Update: Interestingly, given that police chiefs routinely mislead the public, telling it that there is no more danger at hand, even when killers are still at large, in this case, after police have shot the killer dead, the "hospital has implemented 'enhanced security'" for the two wounded cops in the icu.
This says to me: 1. That the cop-killer was part of a family of cut-throats, and/or a cut-throat gang, and 2. that there is no limit to the contempt that police chiefs have for the public.

DOMESTIC "ISSUES" LEAD TO FARM LAND MASS SHOOTING IN YORK COUNTY,PENNSYLVANIA
NORTH CODORUS TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WPVI) -- Three police officers were fatally shot and two wounded Wednesday in York County,Pennsylvania, and the shooter was killed by police, authorities said.
The officers were at the scene, amid rolling farmland, to follow up on a domestic-related investigation that began the previous day.
"This is an absolutely tragic and devastating day," Gov. Josh Shapiro said. "We grieve the loss of life of three precious souls who served this county, who served this Commonwealth, who served this country."
"This kind of violence is not OK. We need to do better as a society," Shapiro said at a news conference.

It was one of the deadliest days for Pennsylvania police this century. In 2009, three Pittsburgh officers responding to a domestic disturbance were ambushed and shot to death by a man in a bulletproof vest.

She looks like a ventriloquist--talking without moving her mouth. Maybe tomorrow she brings out a Kimmel or Gutman wooden "dummy" to begin a new way to read news. I'D watch that.
