"Almost Missouri" has long been my favorite commenter at the UNZ blog of my long-time VDARE colleague, Steve Sailer. Since Steve abruptly deserted that blog, early this year, and started a subscriber blog at substack, I refer to the old blog as the Steve Sailer Sr. blog, and the new one as the Steve Sailer Jr. blog. (Ron Unz has graciously maintained the old blog, to which he starts a new thread every couple of weeks.)
I almost never read Steve's new blog, because he puts the juicy part of almost every item behind a paywall. However, I just learned that there is sometimes great exposed material in the form of reader comments, e.g., by Almost Missouri, below.
Almost Missouri was responding to one of Steve's semi-public columns at Taki's Magazine. I say, semi-public, because I find it impossible to read Taki's. It demands that one disable one's adblocker, and yet, even when I do that, the site still scrambles the screen. Fortunately, it can be read via archive, and longtime Steve-reader, MEH 0910 posted the archived link: "Trans Action."

Steve: “there still isn’t much evidence that Charlie’s killing had much to do with left-wing movements besides transgenderism.”
AM: “Maybe, maybe not: we don’t know what the authorities have. But in any case, transgenderism has become a core tenet of leftism, such that the rest is commentary anyway. As you note in the next sentence, ‘you don’t even have to be terribly left-wing to be into trans’: if you accept a little leftism, you accept a lot of transgenderism, so which is dog and which is tail is practically moot.
“Fortunately, we don’t have to interpret the hermeneutics of the suspect’s trans fetish. [new york times columnist, who is apparently herself a sexual psychopath] M. Gessen is hardly an outlier among Mainstream Media. Their almost universal lockstep supposition is that mild mannered Charlie Kirk deserved assassination because he declined to accept Leftism as his Lord and Savior. Then they rely on Antifa generally, or loose-screwers like Robinson or Routh individually, to carry out the logical consequences of their implicit supposition. They are the terrorists they accuse others of being.”
That is the most succinct description I’ve yet to see of the contemporary, totalitarian mind. Thank you, AM.

Meanwhile,Charlie's in the ground with a bullet hole in his head and neck, while philosophical discussions go on as to who, when and how the next perceived threat to liberal/commies gets shot dead.
