“police respond to other bomb threats in the community
“michigan state police have been responding to additional bomb threats at different locations in the community, an official said at a news conference tonight.
“Some of those threats were at churches and were cleared by state police, MSP spokeswoman Lt. Kim Vetter said.
“Please, continue to stay vigilant, and if you see something suspicious, say something," Vetter said.

“fbi investigating shooting as 'act of targeted violence.'
“the fbi is leading the investigation into this morning’s church shooting and is investigating the case “as an act of targeted violence, said Reuben Coleman, the acting special agent in charge of the FBI's Detroit field office.”
GRA: I wonder if the rumor about “the killer's wife being the target” was true.
That kind of rage can only be fanned into this level of insanity by the “Mrs.” or “Mr.” suspecting the other of cheating.

Latest theory/rumor: Sanford (not Fred) hated Mormons
“(usa today) the former marine who police say attacked and burned a central michigan house of worship, killing four, had ranted against The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints a week before his deadly assault, a local politician told the detroit free press.
“Thomas Jacob Sanford, 40, went on a tirade against the church and called Mormons 'the Antichrist,' Kris Johns, a candidate for the local Burton city council, told the newspaper, part of the usa today network. Johns was canvassing when he knocked on Sanford's door and spoke with the ex-marine days before the rampage in grand blanc township.
“'standard anti-LDS speech,' said John's [sic], who reported the incident to police.”

One of Mitt Romney's assistants shows up at the Verizon store in Park City for the zillionth time, "My boss wants you to check his phone again. He says it's not ringing. But surely the media is seeking his comments. You know he's an expert on LDS theology and has a stellar public safety leadership record as a governor, and he has Michigan roots."
