World goes crazy--Taylor Swift and a kansas city chief football player get engaged

GRA: In a country--and maybe a world without celebrities (we used to have them before 2005)--one of the few that qualifies (barely) as a celeb today, announced her engagement to kc chief tight end, Travis Kelcey.

Taylor Swift, a questionable talent, but given most of the media's attention these days, gave the people what they wanted--something to talk about besides President Trump (for or against).

We don't have entertainment anymore, which is part of the reason the country has gone nuts. We aren't allowed to laugh, listen to good music, or see good movies with bigger-than-life movie stars. Talent has either been eliminated or disappeared. The crap on netflix or produced by Disney isn't fun--it's woke.

So this marriage is the only thing a lot of people have to hang on to. To them, I'll caution: There's a 50% chance of divorce within seven years.

If Rickles were around, he'd tell Kelcey..."Just one piece of advice: On your wedding night, remember, you have to REMOVE your football uniform for a few hours--if you want to get any action--got it?"

"World goes crazy.." You ain't kidding! I REALLY hate to keep griping about the guy, but our supposed leader actually twittered (or whatever) about this topic, saying he wishes them well, and they're both "wonderful people" (like the Clintons?) I mean, this is an 80-year-old man who also happens to be the President of the United States, and this is important to him??? I never thought much of John Derbyshire, but I did like his signature line: "WE ARE DOOMED."

In the era of "truth social",Facebook,"X",he wants to put
his one cent in on everything. Before the internet, the President's views on the trivial were unknown. With a publicity seeking extrovert like P.T.,those days are gone.

One of the few witty comments I ever saw online: "When I was 9 years old, I fell off my bike and skinned my knee. I'm telling you this now because we didn't have social media back then."

I love autobiographical stories.
