Still early on the minnesomaliapolis school shooting story, but this source from france (first one) says there's a trans angle (translation from the reverso app because I do not use g*****, with minor cleanup)

"according to Fox 9, the suspect’s [sic] mother worked in the Catholic establishment before the shooting. the shooter... had recently identified as a woman. according to court documents, his mother had filed in 2019 an application for a change of name for her child, changing from Robert to Robin.
