I wouldn't be surprised if there's an election year giveaway. Like the tariff money handout that Idiot Josh Hawley was pushing in july, or the doge giveaway Elon was pushing back in his Trump bromance days.
This is like a bad dream where I'm trapped on a deal or no deal reboot with 30 trans/drag/obese models holding cases that all have amounts in the negative trillions. Brought on by a bad choice of bedtime story, "The Emperor's New Credit Limit."

"credit limit"--good one. "Debt ceiling",another nonsensical phrase that out-misnomers all other misnomers,including ,as I looked up:"peanuts"(legumes,not nuts),"Buffalo Wild Wings"(the city,not the animal),"funny bone"(nerve,not bone) etc.
A TRUE ceiling actually contains things.
