N.S. to @Cro_Magnon1488 First of all, she just pulled that number out of her, er, back pocket. It's much more likely that it was at most 30,000, or even 3,000.
Second of all, not one of the black women who was fired was gainfully employed. Already under affirmative action, every black who was hired was a political (even when its job title sounded legit), who did no productive work, and who harassed productive, White workers. But die job titles didn't even sound legit.

NO, NO, NO, a thousand times NO. You give the city back to the state of Maryland from whence it came. Wall-off federal buildings as needed, physically, security-ily. Minus 3 electoral votes, possibly +1 back depending on the 'rithm'tic. Block-grant Gov. Wes the Mess and PG County whatever's left in the DC subsidy jar and say "All yours now, give it a nice home." A little history,from my perspective.
Back in 1970-73,Tony Orlando and Dawn songs were heard everywhere on the radio. I had no idea what they looked like or the agenda of anyone behind the scenes,but the songs were catchy and simple. In retrospect,what RM puts forward was the beginning trickle of what is today's flood of non-White performers--in all areas of entertainment. A concerted effort to replace talented White singers/bands with rap groups--though only 13% of our population is black(they say)the "industry" caters to them as if they're 95%.
I suspect rock n roll died out because of the decisions in executive offices to replace it with horrible negro rap--which is 100% repetitive--and has been for decades.
One more:If there was a NSU Roast,like Dean Martin used to have,I'd want RM to be on the dais. But medical personnel would need to stand by to apply bandages and tourniquets afterwards to the "man of the hour",lol. He or they would need it. I enjoy the bloodletting,btw.

(CNN)An Army sergeant is in custody after he allegedly used his personal handgun to shoot five fellow soldiers this morning at the Fort Stewart military base in Georgia, according to base officials.
• Brig. Gen. John Lubas, the commanding general of the 3rd Infantry Division, identified the suspected shooter as Quornelius Radford. “We’re still not certain about the motivation,” he said at a news conference.
• The five wounded soldiers are in stable condition and are expected to recover, Lubas said.
• Fort Stewart trains and deploys active and reserve Army units. It is about 40 miles southwest of Savannah.
