(ZH)Axios has a story out this week that disclosed that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) continued to pay off the debts from former Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign. Over $15 million has already been paid out by the DNC, which is reportedly struggling to raise money in the aftermath of a failed campaign.
Axios described it as a “private agreement” that was not disclosed to donors, who unknowingly contributed to the Harris campaign rather than the campaigns to retake the House and Senate.
The question is whether such private agreements are lawful if not disclosed to donors.

The contradictions of western liberties and Islamic demands. One or the other will prevail. (I wonder if any jihad-preaching imams will be revoked as a result of Trump's order to review 55 million visas. That was my first thought.)
His closing observation: On the ill-advised right, (someone had criticized her video as being "ill-advised") there will be more and more Valentina Gomezes, who do not wish to live in the ruins of a well-advised world they never signed up for. "Celebrate diversity" while you can: one way or another, it is only an interim phase, and from Ottawa to Epping to Austin the contradictions are already being forced.

Muslim paramilitary compounds here in the USA, one piece titled "Springtime in Islamberg". (The link in that page is dead.) 70 acres in a mountainous area near Hancock NY, near the Delaware River and the northeast corner of Pennsylvania. There is a wikipedia entry for it that makes it sound oh-so-peacefully benign.
EXCERPTS (I saved a copy - probably also findable on the waybac machine if Mr. Peabody hasn't been intimidated into deleting it).
The sentry, at the time of this visit, is an African American dressed in Islamic garb - - a skull cap, a prayer shawl, and a loose fitting shalwat kameez. He instructs us to turn around and leave. "Our community is not open to visitors," he says.
The hillside is blighted by rusty trailers that appear to be without power or running water and a number of outhouses. The scent of raw sewage is in the air.
The complex serves to scare the bejeesus out of the local residents. "If you go there, you better wear body armor," a customer at the Circle E Diner in Hancock said.
It is home to hundreds - - all in Islamic attire, and all African-Americans.
ELSEWHERE - I recall reading - somewhere - that even the county coroner was denied access; the body of the deceased was brought out to the gate.
VIDEO - a bunch of bikers and a caravan of cars rode by. A disappointing 12 minutes. The first half is on State Route 10. Then it looks like some county road. They're not actually inside the private area. And loads of state police are along for the ride, scared that something was going to happen.
