The democrats are racial socialists. Everything they do, they do to harm White people, and help blacks and hispanics. Most nys homeowners are White, and there will be programs to subsidize these costs for blacks and hispanics, just as all other costs are subsidized for them.

@bv2999 Thanks! I forgot about that. We survived the same way, in the Rockaways (Southern Queens). 17 days without electricity, from October 29, 2012 on. “This proposal to ban Natural Gas appliances is a Direct Threat to the Safety and Security of all Citizens.” And health!

Make sure your gas appliances don't have electric ignition devices--these depend on the electrical grid to light the gas and if the grid is down, you can't use your gas appliances. I suppose you could rig up an inverter to batteries just to ignite your gas appliances. I recently read a stupid article saying how wonderful electronic ignition was--that is was so much safer than pilot lights. The author ignored the fact that these devices make you unable to use your gas stove, hot water heater, or furnace if there is no electricity. I grew up in a home with gas appliances with pilot lights. Sure, sometimes the pilot lights went out and you smelled gas and had to relight them. But when there was no electricity from a storm, etc., we had the advantage of fully functional gas appliances.
Of course many people in storm-prone areas have their own backup generators--a good idea, except the Green Fascists want to make them illegal. I think California has a regulation doing that in the future. Of course the sheep in California are letting their state be ruined--no new reservoirs to store storm water, no desalination plants allowed, no new power plants, no gas for future construction and no internal combustion engines. If Californians don't wake up the state will be unlivable--and when the rest of the country copies California, as the Green Fascists want, the whole country will be unlivable.
I imagine it’s all hast to do with the gas does not show much is being unsafe but rather to reduce the use of fossil fuels meaning natural gas, natural gas is always been seen as a non-polluting element, so what is the problem?
