"On sept. 17, police reported that Jesus Manuel Torres, 55, bypassed event staff by presenting two expired press box credentials. after he entered the stadium, police said the suspect then assaulted two band members by grabbing or touching their buttocks.

N.S.: Alleged serial butt-toucher. The community college police security guy recognized him as the suspect in two earlier butt-touchings of students. The story is very confusingly written, in terms of chronology.

When I was a kid, a girl might smack you across the face for that, and her boyfriend might beat the heck out of you. Now, you can go to jail for it, at least if you're a heterosexual White man. But I once saw a neighbor of mine pat a much taller girl on the butt that he knew, but not that well, in the student government office. (He'd probabaly grown up watching too many John Wayne pictures.) At first, her face registered shock, but then she smiled at him.
