big-time negligence of nyc subway worker costs a rider his life: man dragged to death as clothes trapped in subway door

N.S.: One of the fundamental responsibilities of either the subway motorman or conductor is to watch the platform both while pulling out and coming into a station, to prevent just such an accident. The worker in question was goofing off instead.

Will the name of the subway worker be released in this type of situation? He has to be--the civil lawsuit usually demands it.However, sometimes,it's kept quiet
and if no criminal charges are filed,it disappears from public view,if the employee resigns.

Public official makes this statement:

"While the investigation is in its earliest stages, it appears this was a terrible accident that did not involve criminal activity," Davey said, likely trying to assuage people concerned about the uptick in unprovoked violence. "

How relieved are they that it wasn't yet another negro pushing a White or asian onto the train tracks?
