What do you expect from people who turned a dangerous psychopath like OJ Simpson into a martyr of police conspiracy and a civil rights icon of his time. Comparatively, Smollett is the equivalent of a Mad magazine character, but still.

Next--a remake of "Sanford and Son"--with these two.

Admit it,you could see such a show.

Call it "Scamford and Son".

Lamont:"Hey pops."

Fred Scamford: "Don't pops me--While I was eating my breakfast of ripple and corn flakes,I read in the newspaper, that you were arrested for pretending you got beat up by a White gang. A WHITE GANG? When's the last time you saw a White gang anywhere? You a big dummy."

Lamont:"Well at least the junkyard's getting some publicity."

Fred:"And you're gettin' even dumber by the second. Not only are you dumb--but you is a fruitcake too."

(Fred walks to his chair and sits down)

Fred:"One billion sperm in my system and the one that impregnates your mother had to be the one that was light in the loafers.I KNEW I should have gone on "Maury Povich" for a paternity test--I'll bet everything I own,I'm NOT the father."

Lamont:"Okay pops, that fake assault was a bad idea, but I've got a good one--how about I hang a noose in our junkyard and tell the police Whites did it."

Fred: "A big,queer DUMMY."

SMOLLETT RECEIVES 5 MONTHS IN JAIL,GOES BONKERS AFTER.

(Newsmax)CHICAGO — Former “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett was sentenced to 150 days in the Cook County Jail Thursday, three months after he was found guilty of lying about a racist, homophobic hate crime attack in Streeterville in early 2019.

In announcing his verdict Thursday evening after an hours of arguments, Cook County Judge James Linn said to Smollett, “You really craved the attention…You wanted to make yourself more famous, and for a while it worked.”

“You were throwing a national pity party for yourself,” Linn said, adding that a side of Smollett is “profoundly arrogant and selfish and narcissistic.”

Smollett opted to not make a statement before the sentence was announced, but once he learned his fate he began yelling in the courtroom that he was “not suicidal.”

Along with the 150 days in jail, Smollett was also sentenced to 30 months of probation. He also must pay the city just over $120,000 in restitution for the overtime spent by Chicago police officers who investigated his initial hate crime claim. Additionally, Linn imposed a $25,000 fine.

Smollett was taken into custody immediately after the sentence was announced, and he continued yelling that he was “not suicidal” as he was taken out of court.

Nenye Uche, Smollett’s lead defense attorney, told Cook County Judge James Linn that a sentence of incarceration would put Smollett’s life in danger.

“The jails are inundated with the pandemic,” Uche said. “Sending Mr. Smollett to jail is almost like a death sentence. Yes it is.”

Jussie Smollett found guilty on 5 of 6 counts of disorderly conduct
Webb, meanwhile, told Linn that Smollett’s actions had tangible negative impacts on true victims of hate crimes.

“What Mr. Smollett did in this case is he denigrated, degraded true hate crimes and he marginalized the people who are true victims of hate crimes,” Webb said. “That is what he did, and he did that knowingly.”

GRA:A good sentence imho, though as we have mentioned, the term "hate crime" has probably outlived its usefulness.

GRA:Not everyone agrees with my opinion on 5 months being satisfactory. From ZH:

If this was a white man he would have got 10 years prison time at least. That's why this judge is a complete failure and a coward and guilty of the practice of issuing long sentences for whites and short sentences for black. Smollet's crime was aimed, not against one single person, but against billions of white people. The judge either doesn't seem to understand the severity of his crimes, or the judge has been taken orders from above. This is O.J and Bill Cosby over again. Pure apartheid laws.

GRA:It's still 5 months more than O.J. got for killing a White woman.Honestly,I thought anything over probation would be a shocker--maybe a month tops.So five seems adequete, though true enough,Whitey would be getting settled into a prison cell with noi members as guards--for a 10 year run.

So this idiot got sentenced to five months, $125 000 restitution and a $25 000 fine. It's about right, but the damage to his career is the real punishment. It'll be a while before he works again, but he will work again; blacks take care of their own (IE the aforementioned OJ Simpson), no matter the severity of the crime, because ultimately it always comes down to being persecuted by whites on some level.

His family kept up the charade at the sentencing, with his brother defiantly proclaiming his innocence IE he was railroaded by the white justice system.

Smollett, to his credit, also kept up his end of the charade, lifting his arm powerfully in a black power raised fist, perpetuating his self proclaimed status of a social justice icon fighting white prejudice.

As a dramatic flourish he boldly exclaimed, "I am not suicidal!" as he was led away to start serving the first days of this unjust martyrdom, because, as everyone knows, the crackers will attempt to take his life to silence him and then try to cover it up.

God bless this brave man. He stands for us all.

It would be more punishing if they sentenced Smollett to a women's prison. Something tells me all male prison is like a vacation to Fire Island to him.

Correct. It was astounding to hear the famblee still proclaim his innocence. Thepunishment does seem about right too. I would have preferred a year in jail [Cook County]. I guess Jussie as a gay negro man of prominence will be segreated from the other inmates.
