Mike Woods, who has been the weather man at fox’ New York City affiliate seemingly forever, was just on for the 12 noon news, and he was was sucking wind between sentences. He was finding every way possible to try and hide his difficulties, but it was impossible. A weatherman has to say too much, too fast to be able to hide being short of breath.
We’ll let you know if we hear anything more.
In the Stix household, we’ve had the TV on more than usual, due to the Russian invasion of the Ukraine, but there never seems to be any news, as opposed to talking heads. Kayleigh McEnany, who was one of President Trump’s reps, and then his press secretary, said, “This is all due to one man,” which reminded me of a Yugo named Josef, with whom I worked on the Assembly Line at Daimler-Benz in Stuttgart. “Nix eine Hitler,” he once said to me in 1981, in “gastarbeiter Deutsch” (guest worker German). Literally, that meant, “Not one Hitler,” but it actually meant, “Hitler couldn’t work alone.”
Meanwhile, retired U.S. Army general Jack Keane, who has enthusiastically supported the queering of the American military, kept talking about “war crimes,” and how Putin and Co. “must be held accountable.” Like he was years ago, for Syria? Putin is laughing in our faces, deliberately slaughtering as many Ukrainian civilians as possible, assuming one can believe anything these mooks say. The only way you hold someone like Putin “accountable,” is by beating him on the battlefield, in which case the Ukrainians wouldn’t have this problem, in the first place.
Earlier, we watched cnn, where Duranty-Blair laureate Jim Sciutto interviewed, among other people, the youngish, female, editor-in-chief of the Ukrainian Pravda, who looked like she had been crying, though she said nothing about having lost any of her reporters or family. A journalist is supposed to have an air of grim determination.
People like Sciutto talk about the need to keep war correspondents “safe,” yet I haven’t seen the war. I’ve seen damage and people fleeing something, and claims that the Russians did this or that, but I’ve never seen what the civilians are supposedly fleeing.
My family says that the alleged reporters are afraid of being attacked by the Russians, if they show Russian attacks, no matter the distance, but I don’t buy it. If the msm refuse to show the “war” or “invasion,” then I refuse to take any of their “reports” seriously. 'You have to trust us.' Like with the Kung Flu.
As it is, I know more about the health of Mike Woods than I do about the alleged Russian invasion of the Ukraine. Who ever heard of war coverage, without a war?
Fifty years ago, the New York City affiliate of ABC Eyewitness News (Channel 7) had the team of Roger Grimsby and Bill Beutel, two White guys, as hosts. My favorite TV critic, the old TV comedy writer, Marvin Kitman, at Newsday, recalled Grimsby saying, “And now, for some more of the so-called news.”

I only did what I was told to do. I was just a little guy. I have done nothing seriously wrong. Others did worse. I tried to help some when I could. I was a mere paper pusher.

A bit masochistic, oder?
... but there never seems to be any news, as opposed to talking heads.
Does that surprise you? -- US mainstream media is generally infantile and superficial, emphasizing personalities over content -- and the personalities are too often stupid, regimetreu ideologues -- for a perfect example of this, look up and watch the interview of Douglas Macgregor with Trey Gowdy on Fox.
I suggest you look at RT for news about Ukraine -- as I mentioned before, their coverage of the news is fairly balanced -- of course their editorial content is another story, but even there I would say it is better, in the sense of being fairer and more fact-based, than what you will find in mainstream US media.
BTW, RT has now largely been de-platformed in Europe -- in many countries, the RT website fails DNS lookup, and e.g. Telegram has yielded to political and legal pressure and removed or blocked the RT channel -- the 'free' and 'democratic' West strikes again.
