Obama was given the title of a professor at U. of Chicago. He merely lectured. Anyone who lectures can according to the university can claim the title of professor.

I cannot imagine that is true -- a university may perhaps confer a title, but it would usually be only honorary, as the title/rank of Professor has specific meaning and must be earned via distinguished academic service, including both teaching and research -- such a title/rank cannot be 'claimed'.

People hired as full-time faculty normally have a PhD, and their appointment to the faculty includes the expectation that they will both teach and do research and/or publish in their field -- other than the most exceptional candidates start as an Assistant Professor -- assuming satisfactory teaching and research/publication activity, promotion to Associate Professor happens (usually some years) later, and this can also includes being granted tenure, since the university has decided that the person is worth keeping -- finally there is promotion to (full) Professor for the most deserving, outstanding faculty members.

The hiring and evaluation process at a university is similar to private industry in that promotion is not guaranteed -- in fact, at better universities, where the competition is stiffer, if an Assistant Professor has not shown satisfactory or expected progress in teaching and research, they may be 'spoken to' and told their future there is not promising, i.e. they will not be promoted or given tenure, and they ought to look for another position -- they will be, in effect, pushed out.

This guy is the least funny person I've ever seen/heard--no sense of humor--I cannot listen to him.

He's soooo serious about what he says--and then,it's usually wrong!

I also hear Biden swears constantly in private--another bad sign.

He probably has problems speaking in public because he has to censor himself,the way he really wants to speak,which is:"F--- that Manchin,f---ing dago--can we do a hit in that pr--k?"

Sounds like Joe Pesci in Goodfellas"--except Biden's a mick.He's a descendent of the Blewitts(not a joke)--I looked it up.

THE UNIVERSITY CHANGED THEIR OWN RULES SO OBAMA COULD WITH JUSTIFICATION CLAIM THE TITLE OF PROFESSOR.

And indeed he did only lecture.

It's laughable -- a word salad -- they just made up some blah blah, covered for Obama by calling him a 'Professor', yet also admitted: 'although not full-time or tenure-track'.

You should email the Univ of Chicago and ask them if there if there has ever been another 'Professor' on campus who did not have tenure -- there is no such thing as a 'Professor' without tenure, and they say plainly that Obama wasn't even on track for tenure.

If Obama was claiming he was a 'Professor', it just shows again what a superficial, stuffed shirt he is -- a real dishonest, self-serving jerk.

No person of real intellect is worried enough about how he might perceived to tell such a blatant falsehood in order to polish his image -- Obama is mediocre and he knows is, so he decided to be a whore to credentialism.
