the post called it a “robbery attempt,” but it was a robbery. The raceless bad guys got the wife’s money and cellphone.
The daily also refused to identify the robbers.
Forest Hills was for generations overwhelmingly Jewish, and Queens' ritziest neighborhood. When I attended SUNY Stony Book (1978-1980), my Yiddish prof, Samuel Berr (of NYU), bragged that he had the biggest, fanciest sukka—the backyard shack in which Jewish men are supposed to live to celebrate the holiday of Sukkas—in all of Forest Hills. (He also once ordered me to bring him a free falafel sandwich from the shopping cart I sold out of, in front of the main library, where he taught our classes. I ignored him.)
About 20 years ago, East Asians began showering Forest Hills’ Jews with ungodly sums for their homes. The area quickly turned Asian. Thus, my hunch is that the vics of this crime are Asian.

Crime of that nature committed in front of a minor an aggravated offense. Perpetrators should get 3 X the normal punishment.
"Time to move back to Japan."
You better believe. Go watch some You Tube video of Shinjuku station. Japanese society head and shoulders above the American modern society. America they call the greatest country. NOT any more it is. And this comes from a patriot. Fed up.
