I believe she's Mex and the perp is Mex.They have a wanted poster with the perp's pic--light skinned--not a black(shocker!).If he's White,that'd be the second shocker,but I doubt it.

The image is not that clear -- but he didn't look black.
I don't think the Establishment really cares about deaths like this; if they can ignore hundreds of thousands of opioid overdoes deaths (not to mention all the ruined lives of addicts who manage not to kill themselves), they'll have no problem ignoring the sad death of this poor girl, and others like her -- the narrative of a racist criminal justice system is well-established now, and, uhh, remedies for it like non prosecution, bail 'reform', etc are accepted and expanding.

And to think the DA NYC says that armed robbery will not be prosecuted? Much more than armed robbery now. Should be a death penalty case but the state of New York no death penalty.
