“Adams County Judge Robert Adrian will handle civil matters such as small claims and probate dockets as part of his reassignment”
By N.S.
The rapist had chosen a bench trial, which means a trial by judge. Thus, it was the judge himself who had convicted him. The judge then claimed, 1. That the five months the rapist had already served while awaiting trial was “enough punishment”; and 2. That the prosecution had failed to make its case. Those are two mutually incompatible arguments. #1 presupposes guilt; #2 says that the defendant was not guilty. But the judge had ruled him guilty! On occasion, a judge will set aside a jury verdict, arguing that the prosecution had failed to make its case, but I’ve never heard of a judge setting aside his own verdict. Therefore, I rule that Judge Robert Adrian is unfit to wear the black robe. But that merely puts him in the company of most judges today.

Wait a minute--was he removed because he dismissed a White person's conviction? If the judge did such a thing for a black,he'd be lauded for progressive justice.
Something is going on here besides the case.

This sounds like the church response when a priest is caught raping a child. They just removed the priest and move him a different locale with different duties.
