Just saw a commercial for "Grand Crew", the latest black situation comedy show. Here is the feature joke:
Black man: Black people don't go to therapy (mocking Whites, because they do go to therapy)
Other black person: But I'm going to therapy
Black man responds: Yeah, and some black people play hockey, but that doesn't make it normal
If that's the best joke they have, it's going to be as unfunny as Blackish.
Won't stop people from watching though, plenty of Woke Whites will watch it in order to feel less guilty and down with the black man. It's a long way from Sanford & Son and The Jeffersons but those shows were written by smart talented Whites, this new breed of black shows undoubtedly have writers hired more for their diversity credentials than actual talent.
I saw that garbage too(commercial previews).Sanford and Son and Jefferson's had older blacks with yes,White writers.The blacks in this show are the opposite of Redd Foxx Demand Wilson,Whitman Mayo,etal.,and most of today's White "talent"is far behind the level that was displayed in the 70s,80s and 90s--plus today's Whites are woke(meaning MUCH less funny.)
