That was around 6 p.m. yesterday.
As a rule, I leave the nbc news beat to GRA. It’s bad enough that any man should go through that muck on a regular or even semi-regular basis (GRA deals with Lester Holt and the nnn at 6:30 p.m.). However, someone else had turned the channel to Channel 4, nbc’s New York affiliate.
There was no “argument.” As I have learned personally, the cops and the media do this all the time. What happens is that a black guy targets someone much smaller than him for death, and then tries to push into an oncoming train or, as in this case, seeks to stab him to death. Afterwards, he can always say the vic called him “nigger!” (I’ve experienced that first-hand, too, in 1993, at West 4th Street Station in Greenwich Village, on the A train.)
What was the argument about? The Yankees and the Mets? We never hear about that, because there was no argument.
Only one time did I ever hear about an incident like the one David Ushery fakereported, and that was in 1986 or 1987.
According to the new york times, on an Upper West Side subway platform on the 7th Avenue line (either 72nd or 96th Street), a little White guy pulled a knife on a much bigger White guy. The bigger guy was crazy with courage, and skills, too, and managed to disarm his attacker, whom he then sought went after with the attacker’s own weapon.
At this point, a White third party entered, on the side of the perp, and held the vic until the police could arrest him.
I know that all three men were White, because the times did a follow-up “thing” on it, in which a staffer interviewed the secondary perp (who had aided and abetted the primary perp). The times was at great pains to emphasize that all three men were White. The interviewer treated the criminal as if we were a hero, and indeed, he asserted that he and his friends did that sort of thing all time, and referred to them and himself as “heroes.”
Real heroes don’t talk about themselves that way. This guy was no hero, if anything, he’s evil. This story came to exemplify the dark side of New York City, one which I have experienced repeatedly: Evildoers get treated like heroes, and real victims and heroes get treated like criminals.
In recent years, I have unsuccessfully tried several times, through google and the new york times’ internal index to find either of the “things” about the subway knife attack.

It's bad enough a national news organization like nbc overloads its newscasts with anti-White,anti-cop material daily,but--and I'm sure this is true--the network of nbc also started forcing affiliates to veer to the left as well in its coverage of LOCAL news stories.I noticed it last year and commented here. The memos were probably very blunt--"follow our guidelines:provoke black outrage, keep Whites on the defensive, accuse cops and Whites of racism(without proof,is fine)highlight any White crimes and underplay black crime."
And they've done it.20 Years ago,on old footage, one could see the difference in style--one big reason--only one minority was seen on camera as a reporter. Now,half of the regular 8 or 9 reporters are minorities--which also changes the attitude of the reporting.I see outright accusations of police behavior as being racist against blacks or Mex--BY REPORTERS--just as on Holt's show.
So it's no surprise about nbc New York reporting the way you describe it.

I just sent you a New York Post story on this attack. Like the other news items, there is no description of the attacker aside from his apparent age and his dress.
When the suspect is not described, that is itself a description.
