From Big Bend Texas to Van Horn and I-10 is 170 miles and you pass through Alpine. Drove that route and not once hand another car behind me the whole way.

You gotta hand it to the Mexican. Human pack animals. Very robust persons. Walk through rugged terrain with large packs on their backs and do so with an apparent casual manner. Probably in most cases juveniles too. If caught and arrested their sentence will be minor.

If those fellows get hurt or lost they will just be abandoned and left for dead. Not even found unless the buzzards and coyotes get to them first. Make a hard bed and then sleep on it. Forever.
